Our nutty spelt granola still packs a big crunch, but isnâ€™t quite so sweet as our original recipe. One of the big differences is that itâ€™s made with spelt flour, which is much easier to digest and often tolerated by people who canâ€™t eat wheat. Spelt is an ancient wholegrain known in Roman times as the â€˜marching grainâ€™ which gives you some clue as to its benefits! This speciality spelt flour adds a delicious, more complex flavour to the granola. The usual stars of the show at Yockenthwaite are all here tooâ€¦hand-baked clusters of our freshly-rolled oats, and loads of cashew nuts, almonds, walnuts and sesame seeds. Thereâ€™s no sugar added to this one, itâ€™s just sweet enough made with a delicious drizzle of raw honey.
